COTSWOLD ALFA DAY - Blenheim Palace, Oxfordshire - Sunday 5th September

Advance prices are £7.00 for adults and £3.50 for children aged 5-16, so with tickets bought in advance an Alfa with two people in it will save a whopping £6.60.  Please contact Matt Willmott to order tickets either click here to email or phone 01684 296163.

We had our final site meeting at Blenheim Palace this week and have secured a prime parking location for the day, right outside the Great Gate of the Palace.  This will make a stunning backdrop for any photos :-)  It is also right next to the cafe, loos and shop.  The only proviso to this parking location is that it is not wet, if it is wet we have an alternative location nearby.

We now have confirmation that the AROC Club shop will be attending and Fish Brothers of Swindon will also be supporting the event, hopefully with a new Giulietta for you to look round.

The event’s format will follow that of previous years, meaning we will meet up in the morning and then follow a scenic drive Giro Panoramico - to our main venue which will be Britain’s premier stately home, Blenheim Palace in Woodstock, Oxfordshire. Those not wishing to do the drive are asked to arrive at Blenheim no earlier than 11am.

The location of the morning meeting place for coffee will be The Inn at Fossebridge, please aim to arrive between 10 & 11 am. The Inn at Fossebridge is situated - as you may have guessed - in Fossebridge, which is on the A429 Fosseway about 6 miles north of Cirencester and 5 miles south of Northleach. It’s a family run hotel in a beautiful riverside setting. They have parking for about 30 cars in their regular car park but around the back there is a large gravel and grass paddock which fits our needs perfectly. The paddock is accessed from the road to Yanworth which runs along the southern side of the hotel. It will all be sign-posted on the day. Tea or coffee will be available and will be included in the COTSWOLD ALFA DAY entry fee. Bacon rolls and soft-drinks will be available to purchase from The Inn at Fossebridge.  The Inn at the Fosse Bridge Website

For those of you who prefer to leave everything to the last minute ‘advance tickets’ will be on sale at Fossebridge on the morning of the event but I would encourage you to buy your tickets well in advance, not only will you benefit from the discount but you will help us plan both the number of route plans we need to print and the model parking. In addition the Alfas there will be some representation from Fiat, especially 500's and other noteable Italian cars.

Tickets include access to two thousand acres of stunning parkland, the formal Gardens, free train rides on the miniature train to the Pleasure Gardens and all attractions at the Pleasure Gardens including the Marlborough Maze, Adventure Play Area, the Butterfly House, the lavender garden, and the ‘Blenheim Bygones’ exhibition. Tickets will also include entrance to the popular ‘Churchills’ Destiny’ - The story of two great war leaders’ exhibition.  As well as all this advance tickets include the tea or coffee at Fossbridge, the route plan, a Giro Panoramico window sticker, and entry into a prize draw. Can’t be bad!

Advance prices are £7.00 for adults and £3.50 for children aged 5-16, so with tickets bought in advance an Alfa with two people in it will save a whopping £6.60.

People who arrive at Blenheim without a ticket will have to pay the normal Blenheim Estate prices of £10.30 for adults, £7.70 for concessions, and £5.00 for children

Please contact Matt Willmott to order your tickets either click here to email or phone 01684 296163.  Tickets will also be available from Cotswold Section Committee members at our next section meet on 18th August, MITCAR and National Alfa Weekend.

We now have a model parking plan and advanced tickets will ensure you get to park with other like models.
