Summer
Italian Car Day
at The Heritage Motor Centre Gaydon was
good fun on Saturday 28 August, despite some heavy downpours in
the afternoon. Attendance was somewhat down on previous years'
events there, however our Section Members present had an
enjoyable time as ever.
National Alfa Weekend
at Shelsley Walsh,
Worcestershire on 21 and 22 August was really enjoyable for the
hundreds of Alfa Romeo fans who attended including many of our
AROC Section members, featuring some superb track action
and exciting Alfa displays runs too.
MITCAR
broke all records this year at
Chatsworth House in Derbyshire on 8 August with over 460 Italian
cars in attendance. We saw some simply amazing machines
including Lamborghinis, an F40 and the sensational new Ferrari
458 Italia among the exotics, plus a tremendous attendance of Alfas,
notably Alfasuds and Minaris. Huge thanks to all of our Section
members who made this event possible.
See photos and a brief report in
Looking Back.
Giulietta
Drive Day
at Chris Variava
Alfa in Nottingham was great fun on Saturday 7 August, with
around 25 of our members enjoying spins in Alfa's latest, in 1.6
JTDm2 and fantastic 235bhp Cloverleaf forms. Big thanks to Paul
and Tim at CV's for their great hospitality again.
Alfa
Romeo Centenary Celebrations in Milan
in late June were quite unforgettable. More than twenty members
from our Section were in attendance at the Fiera Di Rho, the
huge exhibition centre at the centre of the festivities, and
they enjoyed the amazing sight of more than 3,000 Alfas
assembled from across the globe.
