Spring Alfa Day
at Duxford
A convoy of 4 set off in the spring sunshine from Chipping Norton at 8.45am on the morning of SAD and experienced an uneventful but enjoyable drive across country. We met several other Alfas as we neared Duxford and we arrived at around 10.30am. The cars on show at Spring Alfa Day were fantastic of course, and the Imperial War Museum was fascinating. The weather was perfect! ....Not like Beaulieu in 2004! The return journey was a bit of a disaster for one of the committee, involving a seized brake calliper, a 4 hour wait for the AA, an untimely break in the weather and a very cross wife! Despite that I think all who attended SAD 2005 from the Cotswold Section had a thoroughly good day. |
