DUTCH ALFA ROMEO OWNERS CLUB TURNING 40 TAKES OVER ZANDVOORT AUGUST 25TH/26TH, 2018, WITH SPETTACOLO SPORTIVO
In 2018 the Dutch Alfa Romeo Owners Club SCARB celebrates its 40th anniversary. A good reason to turn the annual club weekend, the Spettacolo Sportivo Alfa Romeo, into an extra large spectacle. The venue for this event is the former and maybe future Formula 1 circuit of Zandvoort, August 25th and 26th. Prior to the Spettacolo foreign visitors can participate in a scenic tour exploring the Netherlands, the Coppa Spettacolo, for a single day to up to a full week.
A more extended announcement plus a flashy preview video can be found on the website www.alfaclub.nl.
Well over 1000 Alfa Romeos are expected on Saturday as well on Sunday. From the most recent models to cherished classics, from thoroughbred racers from times long gone by to precious and unique vintage automobiles, bodied by coachbuilders like Pinin Farina, Touring Superleggera and Zagato. A major part of the Alfas will enter the track, participating in official races (classic and modern), driving skills improvement classes, regular driving sessions and parades. Even Alfisti from Italy often emphasize that for an exciting and impressive all Alfa Romeo event 'Olanda' is the place to be. The Spettacolo Sportivo is internationally highly regarded and the number of foreign visitors, from all over Europe and even further away, increases year after year. For 2018 the SCARB invites its sister Alfa Romeo clubs from other countries so the number of foreign Alfisti is supposed to hit a new record.
