UPDATE : JULY'S EVENT THIS WEDNESDAY 7TH

Further details below!

First GEAR!

The South Midlands Section of the AROC, in association with our neighbours from the East Anglian Section, held our first social based show on the 23rd May 2010 at Wimpole Hall, not sure if it was just the weather, boy was it hot, but we had 30 cars and a wonderful picnic prepared by Clare and the East Anglian team.

Thanks must go to all involved, organisers and attendees, it was a great event! I guess we should get ready to change up to Second GEAR for 2011.

The South Midlands members left from Burton Latimer at about 11.30am for a run over to Wimpole, which started well, but got rather disjointed through the small towns on route, but we all met up again and cruised down the entrance drive together, to join the East Anglian section.

A lot of photos were taken with the beautiful Wimpole Hall as the back drop and these we be uploaded onto the site as soon as time allows, so please watch this space.

July Events update!!!

July's monthly meeting on the 7th, that is tomorrow, is our evening drive, this is a new event for the section this year and the idea is to use the cars we all love.

The drive has two starting points, one at The Old Vic car park on Church Street, Burton Latimer and the other Richmond Road car park, Richmond Road, Towcester.

The plan is to meet at 7.30 for a 7.45pm departure from both points, drive along Northamptonshire country lanes to arrive at The Quays car park, near Billing Aquadrome, near Northampton for 8.15 ish, we then leave there at 8.30pm to drive to The Avaitor for a drink.

Here's hoping the weather stays fine and for a good turnout.

See you there.
