Below are a few photo's of some of our members cars with models from just about all periods represented |
The oldest cars we have in the section belong to Les Paul. Les has owned the 1750 SS Zagato since 1964 and restored it over a period of 20 years. Les's other car is a rare 1750 GS saloon which was once owned by Luigi Fusi. Les has only owned this one since 2004 and is currently re-commissioning it.

At the other end of the evolutionary
scale is the Alfa 156. Jorrit Schrauwers owns this rather fine 2.0 Twinspark saloon. This one is particularly interesting in that
it has the Selespeed gearbox.

Back in time again for this beautiful
1900 CSS owned by Robbie Webb. Robbie's car has recently been
featured in Classic Cars magazine and the second picture below shows
Robbie receiving the prize for Best Car Of The Show at the Bristol
Italian Car Show in May 2006.

Below we have Amanda Sheldrake's 1989
Alfa Spider. This is a Series 3 Quadrifoglio imported from
Naples in the 1990's and receiving a RHD conversion at the same
time. Amanda's spider was featured in the 2005 BBC2
documentary 'Car Nation' (as was Amanda) and is subject to ongoing
restoration whilst being used as an ultra reliable daily driver
| Section Secretary John Timms has owned this red series 2 Spider since 1990 It's a original 1975 UK RHD 2000 Veloce. Just prior to being purchased by John it had had its engine rebuilt and been repainted from pale yellow to Alfa red and also had a new hood. In John's possession the car has also has the normal floor and sills replaced. The Car on the right in the pictures is John's everyday 156. Owned by John since new this 2.5 V6 has now racked up over 100,000 miles. Only problems in that time have been a gearbox leak and power steering pipe union failure (twice!) |

| James Wheeler runs Black and White Garage near Newbury and as well as Selling Modern Alfa's has built up a nice collection of Classic Alfa's too. This collection includes a late model 3.2 V6 GTV, a Series 4 Spider, a 1600 GT Junior race car, an Alfasud Ti Green Cloverleaf and an ES30 SZ! This is a pretty desirable collection by anyone's standard. Shown below are the SZ and the GT Junior racer |

| Webmaster Philip O'Hara has a rare facelifted 166 with the 3.2 litre version of Alfa's V6. A wonderful car and probably arguably the best looking Alfa saloon ever. The 145 Cloverleaf on the right has been in the family for many years and now stands at around 115,000 miles and shows no sign of giving up anytime yet. The ride maybe firm and the seating position a bit strange, but this car is fun with a capital F! |
| This 2000 GTV belongs to member Paul Owen. Paul has the car for 3 years gradually upgrading the car with new carpets and headlining, electronic ignition and an electric fan. This work paid off with a class win at the Concours event at National Alfa Day in 2004. Paul has taken his Bertie to Italy - a story which he re-told in the club magazine. |
| Will Hazelwood owns this rare original RHD 1750 kamm tail Spider. In lovely condition Will does all his own maintenance which recently has included replacing the off-side sill and changing the headgasket. Will regularly drives his car down to Devon with his wife beside him and his dog in the back! |
| Section Chairman Michael Haines currently has these 2 lovely Alfa's. The Spider was restored in the early 1990's and Michael has kept the car in immaculate condition since he acquired it many years ago. The 3.0 GTV is Michael's everyday car and is also in immaculate condition |
| John Keast bought this Green 2000 GTV for a bargain price a couple of years ago. Originally a Malaysian car it was imported from Singapore in 1999 into the UK. John uses the car regularly during the summer. It's nice to see a Bertie in a colour other than red, but does anyone know if this green is an original Alfa colour? |
| Here's another non-red Bertone. This is Bill Staveley's lovely 1600 GT Junior. This car is one of the youngest Bertone's on the club's register and has only covered a mere 96,000 Km. Part of the reason for Bill's car being in such great condition is that it spent most of its life in hot dry South Africa and didn't come to the UK until 2001. |
