AROC Magazine December 2013

Our last issue for 2013 features a detailed article on the chrome bumper Alfetta coupes and a another on a 145 used on road and track for professional driver training. A report on our stand at the NEC Classic Car Show in November shows a whole range of 'cloverleaf' cars from an original RL racer to the current Giulietta QV. There is a used Alfa test report on an 'almost new' 13 year old 916 GTV V6 in perfect condition. A dedicated Alfasud enthusiast describes the cars he has owned over the years.

From the Club Manager.

Dear Member,

I am pleased to advise that the Board have decided to hold a big weekend event to celebrate the Club’s 50th anniversary.

We have booked Rockingham International Raceway for Saturday 10th May followed by Boughton House on Sunday 11th May. Both these venues have something special to offer us and located just 20 minutes apart, will offer us a great variety of activities including something on the Saturday night.

AROC Magazine October 2013

This year is the 50th anniversary of the Giulia Sprint GT launch and this landmark Alfa Romeo is featured in our latest magazine.

There is a road test of a unique 33 Sportwagon and Project GTV sees the start of a 916 being prepared for road and track.

At the end of the summer season there are event reports for National Alfa Day, Mitcar, Southern Alfa Day and several other club gatherings.

Alfa racing is featured at Mallory Park and our regular contributors have plenty of stories to tell, plus a 3000 mile trip in a 159.

2014 will see the 50th anniversary of AROC.

There is less than a week left to get your entries in for our competition to come up with a design for a special logo to commemorate this milestone in the Club's history.

The inaugural Southern Alfa Day as been hailed a success by the organisers and visitors alike.

Organised by the AROC Surrey Section, held on Sunday 8th September at Painhill Park in Surrey, just under 150 cars were in attendance ranging from a 1900 through to an 8C Competizione; how many other 'noses' can you identify from the photograph!
