Motorsport

Motorsport

Five world titles, the first World Grand Prix Championship in 1925, and the first two Formula 1 Championships in 1950 and 1951.

Eleven Mille Miglia, ten Targa Florios, four editions of the 24 Hour Le Mans, and hundreds of trophies among Sports and Tourism categories, all write the legendary and unique racing history of Alfa Romeo.

Racing is in our DNA.

And today, the Alfa Romeo Owners Club UK is continuing to play its part in enabling owners of Alfa Romeo, classic and modern, to get on the track and see what their Alfa is capable of.

Our members regularly compete in events such as the Silverstone Classic, the HRDC Historic Alfa Challenge  and the Goodwood Revival.

Across the UK our Club arranges  exclusive track-day experiences, often in partnership with professional organisers, Alfa Romeo UK and Alfa Romeo Dealers.  And in our Sections and Registers, smaller gatherings on-track are common-place.

We also sponsor and actively participate in the Alfa Romeo Championship, part of the 750 Motor Club.

Motorsport Activity

Below are details of just some of the motorsport activity that the Alfa Romeo Owners Club UK is engaged with.

Silverstone Classic

The Home of the British Grand Prix

Founded in 1990, the Silverstone Classic was one of the first motorsport gatherings dedicated entirely to historic racing cars. Every year, Silverstone hosts the three-day race event with displays from all the big car clubs and a programme of classic racing not to be missed.

Our Club is always prominent not only with a display of our own, but also with our members’ cars racing on track.

HRDC Historic Alfa Challenge

1950s, 1960s and 1970s Alfa Racing

The Historic Racing Drivers Club (HRDC) champions close racing with a proper historic format for classic Alfa Romeo models from the 1950s to the 1970s, including Alfa Romeo 750, 101, 105 and 116-series cars encompassing anything from early Giulietta Berlina to four-cylinder Alfetta GTV and Alfasuds alongside the familiar Bertone GT coupes.

Goodwood Revival

Motor Racing Glamour!

Recreating the glamour of motor racing as it used to be, Goodwood Motor Cicuit comes alive for the Goodwood Revival both on and off the historic track. The Revival is the only race meeting to be staged entirely in period dress and is a celebration of the bygone days, vintage fashion and wheel-to-wheel racing around the circuit which remains unchanged since its heyday.

Our Club is always prominent not only with a display of our own, but also with our members’ cars racing on track.

Alfa Romeo Championship

Grassroots Modern Alfa Racing

Now part of the 750 Motor Club, the Alfa Romeo Championship represents grassroots modern Alfa Romeo racing, whether in a Twinspark, a V6 or a more recent 1.4 Turbo, the Alfa Romeo Championship covers all modern Alfas including the 147, 155, 156, GTV, 75, 90 and even modern MiTos, Giuliettas and the 4C. In three class structures, the Alfa Romeo Championship offers exciting wheel-to-wheel racing at circuits all around the UK.

Our Club is always prominent not only through our sponsorship but also through our support and coverage in our Alfa Romeo Driver magazine.

Club Track Days

Racing Fun / Members Only

The Alfa Romeo Owners Club organises trackdays for members by invitation only, often in partnership with professional organisations and sometimes in collaboration with Alfa Romeo UK or a participating Alfa Romeo dealership.

Trackdays are typically held at a relatively central circuit such as Silverstone, Mallory Park or similar.

Trackday opportunities are freqently limited to a first-come, first-served basis and invitations will be sent to all members via email or on the members-only club forum.

Members should not rely on social media to be alerted to the availability of trackdays.

Area Sections /  Model Registers

Small Trackdays, Big Fun!

Around the UK, the Alfa Romeo Owners Club operates 31 Area Sections and 34 Model Registers, many of which organise local, smaller trackdays for our members. It won’t be at Silverstone or Brands Hatch, but it will be at a smaller, local circuit and still bags of fun.

And the beauty is that you’ll be amongst friends and fellow enthusiasts, who all care passionately about their pride and joy! So you can be sure you will experience your Alfa Romeo on a track and it will still be in one piece for the drive home…

Motorsport Register

Dedicated Register for Members

For our Club members who are engaged in Motorsport, whether actively participating or just spectating, we have a dedicated Register to promote discussion, support and assistance. And the Alfa Romeo Owners Club UK also has a Board-level Director assigned as the Director responsible for Competition, covering all motorsport activities in the UK and abroad for our members.

If you have a passion for Alfa Romeo motorsport, there is no better place to be than the Alfa Romeo Owners Club UK.
