In another bumper issue, the focus is on classic motorsport and two fixtures with very different characters - the Silverstone Classic and the Goodwood Revival. While the cars at the Classic and Revival have values in the millions, we also look at the Brighton Speed Trial, where Peter Pringle competed in his 916 Spider.
We have our regular updates on the progress of the Alfa Romeo Sauber team in Formula 1 and the Giuliettas in the British Touring Car Championship and the TCR UK.
The ever popular MITCAR was badly affected by the end of summer weather, but the show went on. John Griffiths reports from Arbury Hall and, elsewhere in the issue, shares his tips for protecting your car from the worse weather to come.
We have the story of a two day test drive around Wiltshire in a 2000 GTV and a Giulia Super which played a starring role at a wedding. There’s a report from Scotland on the 2018 European Montreal meeting and the tale of a road trip that, for once, headed North rather than South - following the famous North Coast 500 route around Scotland in a 939 Spider and a Brera. We head South, too, in another Brera to take part in the second annual Brera Touring Cup.
We look at the story of the Tipo 33 Daytona endurance sports car – and a member’s tribute to it. And we review Patrick Dasse’s epic new six volume set of books covering the Giulia, Giulia GT, Spider, Montreal, Junior Zagato and the factory in which they were all built at Arese.
