It's been a long wait during the strange Spring and Summer of 2020, but we are delighted to confirm that the wait is almost over!
The Alfa Romeo Owners Club have confirmed Saturday 19th September 2020 for our Southern Alfa Day at Stonor Park, Henley-on Thames.
A cornerstone of the Alfa Romeo Owners Club UK is our local meetings and events arranged by our Area Section officials and volunteers.
The Covid-19 pandemic has quite rightly constrained our ability to safely arrange local meetings of members, however, we have today provided guidance to enable Section Secretaries and their local volunteer teams to carefully and very deliberately arrange small outdoor gatherings in line with legislation and published health guidelines.
It has begun.
Our new AROC Virtual Racing Championship has started, and this one is different. In partnership with Bianco Motorsport, the new 2020 AROC Bianco Motorsport Future Alfa Racer Championship not only delivers all the excitement of our Assetto Corsa sim-racing challenges, but the eligible winner will find themselves in a real Alfa Romeo Championship car on the grid at the opening race of the 2021 750MC Alfa Romeo Championship!
We are delighted to announce that Episode 11 of our Alfa Romeo Driver podcast series is now published!
Episode 11 features our Motorsport Coordinator and Lancashire Section Secretary (and AROC board member!) Richard Murtha who tells us about his humble beginnings with Alfa Romeos, how he started his breakers yard, his early days in motorsport and his views of motorsport today and what's happening in the Alfa Romeo Championship in 2020. It's a cracking walk through all things motorsport!
The Alfa Romeo Owners Club has Model Registers for all models of Alfa Romeo, but some Alfas of the past are very few in number and we need to start gathering as much data as we can now on every vehicle still in existence.
And this is the driver for our new initiative, the UK & Ireland Alfasud Register.
