Alfa Romeo Owners Club

News & Events

We are delighted to announce that episode 28 of our Alfa Romeo Driver Podcast is now available!

In this episode, Guy Swarbrick talks to Alfa Romeo F1 team boss Fred Vasseur, Technical Director Jan Monchaux as well as views from Kimi Raikkonen and Antonio Giovinazzi to get the insight into the 2021 Formula 1 season and the Alfa Romeo Racing Orlen team plans!

Following BREXIT, travel to all European destinations will now undoubtedly be more complicated (and costly!).  However, it is hoped that this in itself will not deter club members from travelling to experience some of the wonderful events that take place in Europe each year.  Although Covid-19 vaccines are now being rolled out, it is possible that travel restrictions may still be in place in some countries until the autumn or beyond!

In 2020, the Dutch SCARB Club were intending to celebrate 90 years of the legendary Italian coach-building firm Pininfarina, which, of course, has had a long association with Alfa Romeo.   The Spettacolo Sportivo was also scheduled to celebrate 25 years of the Alfa 916 GTV and Spider model ranges.  It is likely that these aspects will still be a feature for 2021.

We are delighted to announce that episode 27 of our Alfa Romeo Driver Podcast is now available!

In this episode, our Editor Guy Swarbrick talks to co-owner of Bianco Auto Developments, serial Alfa racer and collector Paul Plant!  Paul discusses how he was drawn into Alfa Romeo, his journey with Bianco, his racing success (real and virtual) and his enormous collection of Alfa Romeos including 2 Nring editions!

Given the gradual lifting of restrictions in the UK during April 2021, our planned Spring Alfa Day at Yorkshire Wildlife Park on 18th April 2021 is not able to proceed as planned.

But Yorkshire Wildlife Park is a fabulous location for our members and their families, and we are delighted to announce that we have now confirmed our first AUTUMN ALFA DAY at the Yorkshire Wildlife Park on Sunday 12th September 2021.  So we will still be at the YWP in 2021.

Alfa Romeo has a long history in racing that dates back to 1910 and extends to Formula One today. Throughout these decades, many Alfa Romeo drivers have made an indelible mark in the sport. In celebration of International Women’s Day, Alfa Romeo looks back at the female race drivers that helped shape the brand.

While these women competed in different eras and came from different countries, they all shared the pioneering spirit and a passion for racing of Alfa Romeo, trailblazing uncharted territories in a male-dominated sport.
