Fun Concours Night @ The Seahorse, June 2013

Surrey
3 July 2013

Our best monthly meeting of the year so far was held at The Seahorse at Shalford in June. Some 23 Alfas of all ages pitched up to enter our Fun Concours night, judged by three rank amateurs (the committee) and one person who knew what he was doing (Alex Jupe – many thanks for your guidance, Alex!).

In the spirit of the evening, the categories were not altogether serious and the winners of Grant’s highly prestigious certificates were as follows:

Best modern: Steve Hardy, 916 Spyder
Best transaxle: Tony Daher, Alfetta GTV6
Best classic: Des Clare, Guilia Super
Best non-red: Peter Moss, Yellow 105 Spider
Best spare tyre: Gary Orchard, Sud Sprint
Cleanest cam cover: Graham Excell, Alfetta GTV6
Dirtiest engine: Duncan Ross, 155
Best car: Jeremy Goff, 105 GTV (by public vote – 14 to 11!)

Our thanks go to everyone who turned up to make the event such a success, and to The Seahorse, whose food and drink we highly recommend!
