Report: Hull Minster Car Show 16 June.
The show was part of the Lord Mayor’s Gala with the aim to fill Hull city centre with some 150 to 200 magnificent cars and used Trinity Square for some special features. Around 45 cars were on show last year and this year the organisers, including local AROC Member Brian Gilliland, were to build on 2018's attendance numbers.
This was an event for all marques, not just Alfa Romeos, and it was enthusiastically supported by a number of Car Clubs and individuals alike. One unusual aspect of the show was that the Ferrari replicas of Mal Nicholson created an impressive static display actually inside the Minster. Mal also had his Fiat Coupe, otherwise known as The Duchess, on display in the Square too.
Finding sustenance wasn't really a problem due to the number of good pubs and eateries in the area but it seems that The Minerva was a great place for lunch. We will have to visit some of Hull's museums one day - especially as they are free! Overall, this was a very enjoyable event.
